Meiapaul: ok I'm thinking of implementing such a zip system. However I'm going away for two weeks, and after that I have tests at school, so it's at least gonna take a month.

Yes, it does work better in moz ;)
about a zip: Its not the compression that im looking for, its more being able to download multiple maps at once. The size isnt a problem, but being able to tick a box beside all the maps you want then click "download all as .zip" would be nice :)

People should be able to upload maps that aren't theirs... for example... I just uploaded six maps... but had to comment that I uploaded them so that people didn't think the original author would read their comments and reply...
Mike, worms can convert it to png for you as well, just copy the map to user/import, then in the worms map editor import it, give it a name and click on save.

What program are you using to save the file?
I know what the problem is: the map you are trying to add is a true color image. It needs to be a paletted image.
I have never made a map myself (!) but I think this is how you save paletted png's (i.e. pngs that work in worms) in photoshop:
"File" -> "Save for Web", then select png and then save
(instead of "File" -> "Save As")
