Thanks god I don't feel I'm a coding wh* for other people =D I really don't have the time right now for that stuff. There's just more important stuff in my life right now.
But let's go through the options that'd improve the wmdb situation in the future:
<ul>
<li>Rating system: I don't think I'm ever gonna that. At the old wmdb, almost no one voted.
<li>Allow admins to highlight good maps would get people into too many arguments
<li>Do an award system. Let admins give awards to maps. Awards could be: "creative", "author put lots of work into map", "outstanding graphics", "fun". Users could propose awards.
</ul>
Any other ideas?

When you're viewing all maps by a particular author there should be an option to download a pack of maps by that author (a zip file should be made using PHP).
Just a suggestion.

Drago... I wouldn't say it's getting less active... the 'better' map makers seem to be though. People like FatalFanatic, Squiffel (he has so many great maps he never bothers posting anywhere) EvilBunny, KilgoreTrout, Bloopy, and the list goes on... I find myself downloading less and less maps. Perhaps a rating system should be implemented, but people should only be able to rate maps when viewing the larger preview.

If anyone wants to do a new WMDB design, tell me. Just modify the images and the css and show it to me. Maybe I'll put it up.
Here are the most important files:
<ul>
<li>http://www.wmdb.org/styles/default/style.css CSS-File
<li>http://www.wmdb.org/styles/default/logo.jpg Logo
<li>styles/default/background.gif Background
</ul>
There don't seem to be enough ppl linking to wmdb then!
I added wmdb to my site, since it has RR maps :) more ppl should link to increase your search engine ranking!
As for light: WA has color maps: wa beats wwp here
WA has more active players: wa beats wwp there too!
WWP has slightly better missions, but you stop playing them after a short while. a doubtful win by wwp there.
WWP has more options nobody really cares about. another doubtful win for wwp!
"Yeah, search engines don't care about meta tags anymore do they?"
afaik: they dont care about meta tags. perhaps because its the year 2004 and software is able to analyse text. so there isnt really a need for meta-keywords?
"Anyway, I made the title a little more descriptive."
ja, looks quite optimized. :D
there is one keyword id add: c http://www.flickr.com/photos/cornis-screen-shots/697191/ ##> "download"
"download cool maps" or sth for example.
btw, i dont play w:a. :P wwp is better. :P

The search engine ranking of the WMDB is horrible.
Anyway, I made the title a little more descriptive.
