What I meant was (I think XD) is that if you effortlessly resized the worms you'd have a couple pixel thick gradients in their hair, but we don't have that here, we only have sharp highlights and shadows all around, which is why I think it was done manually. That or I'm not aware of a smart enlargement process in Ps which retains sharpness so well.
Graphics can effortlessly be resized without the existence of semi-transparent pixels. You must be using a different program or setting, because it's ridiculously easy in Paint.
So let me get this straight. The guy creates an unusual map (which is not just enlarged if you check carefully, because there aren't semi-transparent pixels, hence it was completely redrawn, using unique sprites), takes the effort of setting an appropriate background and not only writes up a description but actually puts there something special, and you diss him? And with all honesty this looks miles better than other GG maps (e.g., #9081).
i grow wearY of waiting,
all our efforts have been in vaiN.
must i spell it Out at last -
or remain in wait, in paiN?
i hAve no gold star, nor blue, nor red,
nor do i have any riches;
but in this domain I AM king,
though i crawl in the ditches.
is this even meant to be a map? if so, it's a strange one indeed. gfx look kinda handmade, but blown up? wtf? it even has a background set and what's with that poem oO
I like the picture but its a bit small and empty for BnG... Maybe you could use sprites like these on a more interesting map? Also, you need to set two shades of black, one with a 0,0,0 rgb value, and one with another.. Use the 0,0,0 value for the background and the other one (e.g. 2,2,2) for all other shades of black that you don't want to be transparent (you'll see why if you play it with a background).
